Going Home

Being aware of what energies you are bringing those you love can make the difference between a great day or a day you wish had never happened. Who are you bringing into the lives of your husband, your children or in my case, who am I bringing home to my parents, neither of whom I have seen since 2019? Let’s look on the energies in my chart as I make this long overdue visit…

Mercury Retrograde: Don’t Believe The Hype

Mercury Retrograde. Don’t Believe The Hype! Mercury retrograde is nearly upon us! It begins on June 17th and lasts for three weeks, until July 11th. But don’t panic! Don’t believe the hype! But do prepare to chill out for a brief period of time. Many people hear and repeat the now cliche phrase, “it must be Mercury retrograde," whenever something distressing happens that is out of the normal. But few understand that the period can be very beneficial, if we simply slow down a bit.

And Still We Rise

As humans, we came here to be free. But historically the powerful have not allowed liberty. Authoritarian governments dating back to antiquity have tried to destroy people’s right to self-determination, but it will not be stopped. Just as when a baby is born with an umbilical cord around its neck but survives, the perpetual movement towards freedom will not die.

ENOUGH!

One of the reasons that I speak with my father on the phone every day is to know that he made it home. He’s 83 and it’s not his health I’m worried about. He is VERY healthy. He walks a few miles every morning at the time when you and I are just turning over. Before COVID, he was on the 7:00 am bus to Manhattan at least three days out of the week just to hang out or to shop. So, you see, it’s not his health I’m worried about.

Dancing Together in the Dark

A friend of mine recently posted a haunting portrait of herself, as a woman who became deeply caught up in a delicate and beautiful romance that ultimately turned sour. I am including the full text of her message here:

this is the weekend he and I first stole away in my backyard under my oversized, red umbrella on a peach sheet reading books. His, on leadership, mine, on Project Management. I was studying for the PMP and he was just wanting to be in my space. He, a six-figure software developer with a smooth stroll and voice to boot. He worked too much. Was stressed. Me, an unemployed, happy-go-lucky-sky's-the-limit girl who hadn't yet realized her worth.

Trust in Transition

Am I in denial about the state of the world? Do I believe or know that I’m in transition right now? What do I trust in transition? Who do I trust?

In an instant, life can change for any family, forever. This past March, life did in fact change for many of us, forever. This shift in our lives has caused us to re-prioritize, reevaluate, restructure and regroup. This season has stripped many of us of our jobs and our ambitious routines. It has also caused us to focus on family and to concentrate on the internal and eternal. This season has shown many of us where our trust really lies.

Imagine A World

What if we lived in a world where everyone knew that they were valued for their unique selves? How much more fulfilled might our individual lives be if we knew that we were truly offering the world talents that few others could? What if everyone started learning this about themselves in kindergarten? Only a few rare people have this good fortune and many of them are known by their first names. But what about the rest of us? What if there was a system that gave comprehensive meaning to individuals’ lives as well as clarity in ways that they might serve the greater society in which they live?

All of Creation is Waiting Part 1...

Growing up in a devout Christian home, I would sneak and look at my horoscope to get a feel for what would supposedly take place in my life that day, week or month. I would hear derogatory comments regarding horoscopes and astrology in church or from the general community of believers, equating the practice of astrology to witchcraft and sorcery. However, deep in my heart and soul, the evil they spoke of, never registered. How could beautiful stories written in the sky God created be evil - be wrong, and why would they be forbidden? The restrictions placed on the exploration, discovery, and practice of astrology, seemed to be driven by the fear and ignorance of Christians, more so, than law.

Tales Of A Cosmic Seeker, Part 1

I have been fascinated by astrology for most of my life. My first significant exposure to it came when I received a birth chart reading at the age of 16. The astrologer was an intriguing older woman with deep piercing eyes. Her name was Ms. McDonald. She lived in Laguna Beach, California, and my reading took place in her apartment, near the deeply blue and pulsating Pacific ocean. What she told me that sunny and beautiful California afternoon, sent me on an exciting search for more understanding. I have been relentless in trying to learn how planets in the sky can affect lives here on earth.
