Going Home

Being aware of what energies you are bringing those you love can make the difference between a great day or a day you wish had never happened.  Who are you bringing into the lives of your husband, your children or in my case, who am I bringing home to my parents, neither of whom I have seen since 2019? Let’s look on the energies in my chart as I make this long overdue visit…

Chiron is conjunct Jupiter for me right now (I’m a Sagittarius).  This is a gift and with all things astrology, that gift comes with a shadow.  Since Jupiter is the planet of higher knowledge, truth and wisdom and Chiron is the wounded healer I’m in a place where I can embrace my own wounds and assist other in their healing.  What better time to have this energy then when I decided to finally pay my parents a visit?

After all, even with all the love, your parents are often the source of some of your wounds. It's good to be of an age where you can acknowledge that without blame.  You can love the people who gave you life with the wisdom and perspective of life.  Tough issues and difficult personalities can be addressed from a place of love and not criticism.  Jupiter allows one to step back and assess before the over truthful verbal delivery of a Sagittarian.  One’s wounds are viewed through the lens of life experience and not culpability.  This energy reveals the mixed blessing in a circumstance, in the end, that wound will serve you.

Mars is squaring my moon.  Uugh, that’s not good to bring home to the folks I love the most.  Translation… I need to watch my temper.  Something really small could set me off.  What do the people who know you the best know how to do?  The little things that make you nuts!  Here’s another thing not just likely to happen with this energy but actually did – a long-buried topic that has been a difficult one to discuss has surfaced.  The good thing is that it needed to surface.  The even better things is that we are closer to a resolution.  Knowing that there is a tendency to be oversensitive now has been a real benefit to how the discussion has been managed.

And finally, I have Mars inconjunct Pluto.  The irony! I’m working on a big project at my father’s house.  It’s his house so his project, right? Well, not exactly, I came with the project in mind and didn’t want anything, not even him (in his own home) to get in my way.  All of that Mars energy is focused on one thing.  What do I need to do?  Let some of that adult energy from Jupiter (the planet that rules my sun) to step in and be philosophical about the whole deal and step away from the impulsive reaction of Mars.

Astrology is a beautiful thing.  It creates for balance and wisdom along with the innate, almost animal like reactions to situations.  It’s important to acknowledge all of what going on with you so that you know what dynamisms are at your disposal when dealing with a situation.

Being aware of what you’re bringing to the table, getting that astrological check up or guidance can make all the difference in the most important relationships in your life.  Taking responsibility for those energies, the good and the shadow is on you, but you can only do as much as you are aware.

Who says you can't go back?
Been all around the world and as a matter of fact
There's only one place left I wanna go
Who says you can't go home?

Don’t let the fear of the consequences of a conversation or an action that you know needs to happen stop you from dealing with it. Get there, be in the middle of it, get it done, just know what your dealing with and what you have to draw on so that you manage the energies properly.
