Imagine A World

What if we lived in a world where everyone knew that they were valued for their unique selves? How much more fulfilled might our individual lives be if we knew that we were truly offering the world talents that few others could? What if everyone started learning this about themselves in kindergarten? Only a few rare people have this good fortune and many of them are known by their first names. But what about the rest of us? What if there was a system that gave comprehensive meaning to individuals’ lives as well as clarity in ways that they might serve the greater society in which they live?

That system exists… the astrological system gives profound insight into the deeper levels of a person’s being. And, as the great astrologer Stephen Arroyo wrote in his classic, The Practice And Profession of Astrology

“I see astrology as a direct emanation from a very high level of universal mind. And that’s one reason it constitutes an inherent and complete psychology (psychology being defined as a study of the mind). If in fact you have a system that is a perfect reflection of the higher mind (God, spirit, universe, etc.,) of which we’re just microcosms, certainly that is a profound and complete psychology that includes all potential mental patterns.”

It is not my intent to change anyone’s mind in this blog. I am simply stating that there is a system that, if used intelligently, is a great tool, a way to understand ourselves and those close to us. It is a powerful healing modality that can help people find their place in the world. That system is astrology. It is easy and fair to say that we would all benefit from having awareness of this system of knowledge earlier, rather than later in our lives
Answering the call

Everyone has a calling. We are told this by various teachers along our path. But just because someone has a calling does not mean that that they will successfully answer that call. Additionally, there will most likely be obstacles on the path to fulfillment. There are indicators of what each soul needs to be fulfilled in each person’s natal astrological chart. These indicators are important for everyone, but especially for those who intend to live their life as an evolving growth process. Knowing these indicators is also extremely important for those who intend to use their innate talents and abilities to help others.

 Soul Fulfillment Indicators
If astrological principles were introduced to children early in their academic careers, they would be able to see their true calling in their formative years.  Soul fulfillment indicators could be introduced with an objective and independent astrological practitioner. If the indicators resonate with the student, early training in a field that holds their passion could begin, much like the great musicians start training as children. This would equip people early on with both well-defined knowledge of their potential and of distinct actions and processes that could assist them in consciously answering the call of their respective souls.

Process of Discovery
This unfolding process of discovery would include an analysis of not just the indicators of the person’s calling, but also information about the patterns that permeate their current state of consciousness. The birth chart accurately describes the attitudes and subjective approaches each person brings to any life activity. Having an awareness of their default attitudes allows the students to have baseline indicators of where they actually are now and thus what raw material, they might use to expand their reach for their life purposes.

A Life of Their Own
Having an astrological counselor at any age engages clients in their learning and creates a space in which the students can more easily find their own way. This is important because everyone invariably wants to express the talents that ignite their respective souls, instead of only following a set of rules; even if those rules are given by well-meaning parents, teachers, ministers and government leaders. People want to live the lives that matter to them. If they were shown decisive ways to do that, more of them would have inner satisfaction and less inner stress. Ultimately, they would help others become whole through personal example. Any information that gave them insight into how to be the unique self they are meant to be, would thus serves the good of the whole.

Namaste,
