**A Self-paced Study**
In this day when information about anything can be obtained through the Internet, the challenge is how to integrate the information into something useful. Astrology is no different, there are countless sources that can give you pieces of the astrological puzzle but very few that can give you a comprehensive understanding of how it all works. This course will ground students in the fundamentals of understanding astrology, the universal language that has guided humans in their understanding of their lives and relationships since the beginning of time. The class will also explore each of the cornerstone elements of the astrological system: the signs, the planets, the houses, and the aspects. At the conclusion of this series of classes, attendees will be able to interpret the essential language of their own astrological charts with confidence.
After Sunday service at Agape International Spiritual Center, I had the opportunity to reconnect with Stevie Wonder.
Thirty years ago, by one of those extraordinary twists of fate, I found myself sharing a stage with him. Just the two of us; Stevie on keyboard & vocals, with me on drums, playing a medley of his songs. He smiled, remembered the experience, shared his memories of it and took photos with me. He even indicated that we may work together again.
It was a beautiful full-circle moment.
But as grateful as I am for having performed with Stevie, I realized afterward that what moves me most isn’t the memory of sharing a stage with him.
It’s the realization that I am walking the same artistic path.
Not by sounding like Stevie.
Not by becoming Stevie.
But by embracing the tradition he represents.
Throughout his career, Stevie has written music that is soulful, deeply human, spiritually uplifting, and emotionally honest. His songs don’t simply entertain us—they remind us who we are. They speak to love, hope, struggle, joy, compassion, and possibility.
That has become my aspiration as a songwriter.
Over the past year, I’ve been writing and recording a collection of songs that come from exactly that place.
Music for the heart.
Music with a groove.
Music that reminds us that tenderness is not weakness, spirituality doesn’t have to preach, and sensuality can coexist with compassion.
I’ve discovered something in the process.
The more honest I’ve become in my songwriting, the more alive the music has become.
One of those songs is called “Walking in the Light.”
Ironically, it began as a song meant to inspire everyone.
It only truly came alive when I stopped trying to inspire people…and simply started telling the truth.
That’s the lesson I’m carrying forward.
I’m incredibly grateful for my encounter with Stevie Wonder.
It reminded me why I make music in the first place.
To offer something that nourishes the heart.
To create music that leaves people feeling a little more hopeful, a little more connected, and a little more alive than they were before they heard it.
Thank you for continuing to walk this journey with me.
There’s much more music on the way.
With gratitude,
Lorenzo
